5/26/2023 0 Comments Fender bassbreaker 15 john mayer![]() I've got a $1000-1500 (AUD) budget, meaning that a 15W bassbreaker will be at the low end of that while a deluxe reverb will just break the budget ($1800 or so). Thus, I was looking at amps that offer me versatility. I mostly practice in my bedroom but have recently been jamming with a couple of friends of mine - we've got an electric drum kit and a metal player struggling with a bass guitar in the same room, so with my looper pedal I end up jumping between rhythm and lead a lot of the time. I generally play stuff on the cleaner side (hence Fender): Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Fleetwood Mac - the darkest I probably go is Jimi Hendrix, Zeppelin or Foo Fighters (bit of blues and such). ![]() ![]() I've been told that those pickups give a bit of a brighter tone when turned up full. I've got a Fender Deluxe Series Mexican Strat (sunburst) with those dual magnet, single coil DiMarzio pickups (don't know the model name unfortunately but they look like the Cruiser or the BC-1 ). I'm replacing my very small ESP 10 solid-state practice amp. Hey guys and gals and all those indeterminate, I'm trying to find the best mid price-range amp for my style and guitar.
